Hi Fullback,
can you elaborate on what you mean please.
Do you mean individual areas as in Endurance, Strength, Speed etc?
or
What training schedules do you follow to improve specific areas?
or
What training techniques as in cross-training etc?
Dave

Hi Full Back

As a Martial Artist and General Fitness enthusiast, I use several types of training. Overall strength and conditioning is covered by Weight training, using the Six Main body groups of Chest, Back, Shoulders, Legs, Arms and Stomach. I very routines, sometimes training Leg and Back, Chest and shoulders, Legs and Arms together. Then I switch every few months to: Chest and Back, Shoulders and Arms, And then Legs. Then I rotate to a straight "Push-Pull", Meaning I Do all "push" exercises one day, and all "Pull" exercises the next. I try and do stomach at least every other workout during all routines.

for Flexibllity I stretch in AM, and Before and After evey workout.

For a unique conditioning variety, upper and lower body coordination, Rhythm and timing ( vital to punching and Martial Arts...... actually all ball sports also). I use the Speed Bag in a variety of different ways. Here are some of the Unique ways it can be used:

At least a couple of Days a week I try and Run/Jog a few miles, or jump the Treadmill we have at home.

I also recommend some "focused" training for players of individual sports or Particular Martial Arts. I guess it depends on what your goals are in the long run.

Below is a link to A variety of fitness information and helping websites.

I hope this helps you some in your fitness quest.
