Anyone golf at 7,000 foot above sea level or higher? If you haven't, you may be surprised at the length of your drives. Both your lungs and the ball will discover that less oxygen means longer drives.

Taos Country Club offers 18 holes of unique golf. Very few trees, don't veer off the fairway (the sagebrush and high desert terrain will make that ball disappear), and the ball does drive further at 7,000 feet.

Just a few miles into the mountains, you'll find Angel Fire CC. You're now at 8,000 feet and a more traditional course layout and landscape.

Panderes is a little further into the mountains towards the other Las Vegas (NM). It too is high in the tall ponderosa near Mora, NM.
