|
|
Hi guys
I wonder if you can help me, I have been playing golf for nearly 18 months and some of my golfing buddies have bought rescue woods. These clubs are supposed to be dead easy to use and they use it all the time in rough, on the fair way even to pitch or out of the sand.
My question is, can this club be used in competition? |

The short answer is "yes". Most of these clubs are hybrids with heavy bottoms and bigger sweet spots to make the easier to hit. Just make sure you only have 14 or less clubs in your bag.
The USGA keeps a listed on outlawed equipment and you can check with them on a specfic club.
Use what makes the game fun and easy. _________________ Beverly Williams, LPGA

They are easier to hit than long irons for sure. I have several lofts of hybrids depending on the course I'm playing.
BUT, I'm quite adept at hitting "stinger" shots or low punch shots with my 3 or 2 irons. Can't really do that same shot with hybrids because there is much more loft. _________________ Stop by my sites:

The most common of the utility clubs is the rescue club. So named for its ability to rescue players from rough, it combines the forgiveness and distance and height of a fairway wood and the stopping ability of an iron. _________________ Thanks and Regard
