There's an interesting piece here in the Telegraph suggesting he's the player of the decade for reinventing the openers role.

He's an incredible player both for the speed of his runs and the volume of them. He very nearly became the first batsmen to score three triple hundreds earlier this year. A very, very underated player for me.

Virender Sehwag is undoubtedly a tremendous player, a great performer in the history of South Asian Cricket. He’s the man, who really can do anything for India at anytime from the perspectives of daily sport and sports magazine.

He got another 99 yesterday, but it was Tendulkar with his double hundred that put the game to bed.
