Hi all,
My name is Ian. Im 32 years old and I am from South London. By day (and night) I'm a train driver. In my spare time I enjoy watching an array of live sport. I used to play football to a fairly high standard until injuries and other silly things got in the way.
Now I enjoy having a wager on sport and enjoy nothing more than watching a live football match and having a bet on it at the same time.
I hope to use the forum to share experiences and knowledge, as well as contributing to debate.
I started a website a few months ago which is dedicated to the betting aspect of live sport, and in time I'm sure I will be able to mention my site... I will not be breaking the rules though! Lol.
I'm a lifelong Chelsea fan, although I cant get to Stamford Bridge much these days. Bloody shift work! Although I must admit the prices these days to watch a football match is ridiculous. Many a time I've gone to my local team , Tooting and Mitcham United, hoping to become a regular matchgoer. Unfortunately my eyes just cannot put up with the lack of quality in front of them.
Well thats my introduction. Hopefully you will see me involved in some debates on the sports forum, and maybe starting a few posts myself.
Good luck and bye for now.[/url] |

Welcome to the forums, Ian.
Who did you play for and at what level?
With regards to your own site, there is no problem there. When you have a few more posts under your belt, you can just create a signature via the Profile link at the top and have a link appended to all your posts.
Regarding prices... how families can afford to go and watch Premiership games week in week out these days, I'll never know. There must still be some money in the system somewhere!
I follow a team just a little higher up in the non-league pyramid than Tooting and Mitcham United - Blue Square Bet North (Northern Premier) - and even watching them costs £13 (to stand, £15 to sit) these days. _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Camping |

I played at youth level at Tooting and Mitcham and then Carshalton Athletic.. This was followed by training sessions at Millwall's youth set-up which was poor at the time. I then played a couple of trial matches to represent London, which didn't work out.
By this time other things got in the way...ie drink and women !
Needless to say I am now a train driver and about four stone heavier! |

I would imagine it's very difficult to get to a high level of football. Not only do you have to be extremely good, but you probably need to have some lucky breaks along the way, too... _________________ UK Hotels - UK Selfcatering - UK B&Bs - UK Camping |
