I totally agree. Also, it's not far off boxing in some ways. At least with UFC and the like you frequently get good bouts. In boxing it can be 6 months between fights worth watching, and even then only occasionally do they live up to expectations.

I used to like boxing but haven't watched more than 5 fights since I started watching UFC many years ago. I'm baffled why boxing is still so popular when MMA offers an all around combat experience. Granted the UFC fighters aren't as good at boxing but I'd rather see all the other aspects of fighting done together than just punching. I think it is too extreme for many people who don't like the sight of blood and extreme violence.

UFC is really hated by some for violence and blood, some says, the people that are liking UFC are those who are also violent, what can you say?
