OK... let's see if any of you are game for this.
First off... head over to http://www.wgt.com and register for an account (it's free) and have a little play / get some practice.
What we're going to do is have a little knock-out golf tournament among members of Aardvark.
To be eligible to play, you must have at least 100 posts here on Aardvark Sport - or any of the other Aardvark message boards.
We should be able to drum up at least 8 players, I would think... if we can, we'll muster up 16. Players will be drawn at random and pitted against each other. (I will post these details once the tournament gets underway.) If we get some number other than 8 or 16, we'll work out a system whereby some players get an automatic bye into the next round... just leave that to me.
If you'd like to play, just post below with your WGT username (and your Aardvark username for the board where you have at least 100 posts, if it's not this one).
It's sudden death knockout (ie. if you lose, that's it). The winner is responsible for taking a screenshot of the scorecard after playing their game, and posting it on the forum (if you're not sure how, maybe the loser will be gracious in defeat and help you out!). He/she then proceeds to the next round, and so on and so forth if he/she keeps winning.
All games must be played within 14 days of the fixture being announced. If certain circumstances dictate this won't be possible for you (eg. on vacation), please say so at the onset of the fixture being announced, and we'll try to accommodate if we can.
The winner gets the congratulations of everyone else and the prestige of being the first ever winner of the official Aardvark Golf Tournament. (If anyone generous is watching, feel free to donate a prize!)
The aardvark's decision is final.
Right... I think that's everything. Who's up for a round of golf?

Hi,
Golf tournament is and always has been an invitation only event, where members of the Augusta golf club committee to invite the players who decided to compete in the tournament. Therefore, the number of players compete in Augusta are smaller than the other main courses and traditional symbolic championships.Another important part of the Masters golf tournament is a green jacket. The winner will also receive the coveted trophy and a large amount of cash prizes, also gave the green jacket, which is actually the official clothing worn by members of Augusta National when they are on the basis of the club. Thus, in addition to winning a major championship, each winner is also an honorary member of the club. |
