At the present do you think it would be either New Zealand or Australia?

New Zealand definately. Australia have great backs but their forwards aren't up to much, especially in the scrum.

Well, adi, did you see the Wallabies v Springboks last week end?? you will be eating your words now,I was astounded with the performance of the Wallabies pack, best I've seen them play for 2 years or more, they are certainly the No2 team in the world at present, and hopefully now,we MAY spring a surprise against the All Blacks next week, although I must admit, that may be a little too much to hope for, however,I now say that the Southern Hemisphere have the best 4 teams in the world,All Blacks,Wallabies,Springboks, and the Pumas. I couldn't honestly rank England at present, after what we saw in the last month, probably behind any of the other 3 UK teams!

Dan Carter did for South Africa this morning. I don't disagree with your opinion on the best four sides in the world although I'd replace Argentina with France.

I'm deflated again, since my last thread I have found that the All Blacks coach had "rested" seven of his top 15 players so theywould be ready for the Wallabies Crying or Very sad
Yet we can still "Hope" Sad

Should be a good game nonetheless but I still fancy the All Blacks to win.

Was this supposed to be a complaint or a compliment?

When they ran on to the field it was like watching a tribe of white orcs on steroids.

Orcs suggest to me strong and ugly. Most rugby players are pretty ugly so I doubt they'd mind that too much so it must have been a compliment Very Happy

Tight game today in the Bledisloe Cup with both defenses largely on top and the game won by a piece of Rococoko magic.

Excellent match, skills shown, not too high BUT,it is the first time I can recall being happy with the Wallabies performance in a losing game, certain we can now beat ANY team in the world except maybe the ABs.VERY HAPPY Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I wouldn't get too excited. England pushed the All Blacks all the way when we played them last Autumn and we're rubbish Very Happy

Englands style of play against the ABs is TOTALLY different from the Aussie style,I think it was the "rumbling" stile forward play that upset the ABs against England, whereas,Australia always try to beat them with their speed and strategies in the back line.( which nearly worked on Saturday). Still more than Happy adi. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The Aussie back line definately has more skill in it than the English one (by a bloody long way) but I guess you can only play to your strengths. You always want the most exciting teams to win World Cups but it doesn't always work out that way (see South Africa and more recently England) so it should be an interesting tournament.
